Job Overview

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch customer service to our members, handling inbound and outbound calls, and resolving issues related to pharmacy benefits, providers, or claims. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, offering a competitive pay rate of $18.50/hr. - $19.50/hr. (depending on experience), with a $1/hr. shift differential for overnight shifts. If you are a certified pharmacy technician, you may be eligible for the higher pay range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer questions and handle problems regarding pharmacy benefit, provider, or claim issues in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary
  • Spend approximately 90% of your time on the phones, providing exceptional customer service and support to our members
  • Seek approval for overrides and prior authorizations as needed and enter them into the claims system
  • Monitor pharmacy claims processing and complete data entry of member records
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management

Essential Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry
  • A pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred (inactive certifications also apply)
  • 1+ year(s) of PBM or health benefits experience
  • Experience working in a high-volume call center is highly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified pharmacy technician with active or inactive certification
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service or call center environment
  • Experience with claims processing and data entry
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefits and healthcare industry

Skill and Competency Requirements

You should be highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in computer software and claims processing systems is also essential.
