We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Customer Service Agent to join our team on a remote basis, working from Minnesota, USA.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking, problem-solving, and a friendly demeanor. You'll be the face of blithequark, interacting with customers at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area, as well as handling customer inquiries and issues via phone and other channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and courteous assistance to internal and external customers, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring a great customer experience.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the success of blithequark, handling customer needs and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate a computerized retail system, managing tasks such as check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and reservations, as well as resolving related complaints and issues.
  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and balancing daily transactions.
  • Check in baggage and cargo, answer phone calls, and provide information to customers, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage customer issues related to oversales, delayed or cancelled flights, lost or damaged baggage, and other travel disruptions, resolving problems quickly and within company guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on fares, schedules, reservations, and flight information, answering a wide range of customer inquiries.
  • Complete forms and reports as required, writing anomaly and complaint reports as needed, and performing other work-related tasks as directed by management.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • The ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the demands of the job.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills, with the ability to follow instructions, learn, and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work with others, meet the public, and perform under stressful conditions.
  • The ability to complete the Customer Service Agent training program with an average score of 80% or higher, and successfully complete an assessment period.
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and the ability to handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.
  • The ability to work under tight time constraints, achieving quick turnarounds of aircraft, and maintaining a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information and instructions clearly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:

  • Previous customer service experience, particularly in the airline or travel industry.
  • Familiarity with computerized reservation systems and other airline software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
