This role involves effective communication with customers and internal teams, problem-solving to resolve issues, and maintaining accurate records. You'll be the face of blithequark, providing a warm and welcoming experience for our customers, while also ensuring that our store operations run smoothly and efficiently. **Key Responsibilities:** * Greet customers as they enter the store, providing a warm and welcoming experience * Process customer orders and ensure accurate and timely replenishment of products * Assist customers with questions or price discrepancies, providing clear and concise information * Handle customer complaints or issues with empathy, aiming for a positive resolution * Process returns and exchanges according to store policy, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to restock products as needed * Assist customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information * Bag, box, and wrap purchased items, ensuring a professional and efficient service * Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices * Perform other related duties as assigned * Adhere to company policies and work requirements **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent * Successful completion of on-the-job training * Six months of related experience preferred * Ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions * Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners * Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds * Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies **Preferred Qualifications:** * Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or customer service environment * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams * Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software * Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly * Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds regularly * Ability to stand for prolonged periods, with regular breaks as needed * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills and careers.
