About blithequark and the Role

blithequark's work-from-home team spans across 40 preferred residency states in the USA. We're currently looking for talented individuals to join our team from various locations, excluding AK, CA, HI, and outside the United States. Residents from Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Washington, D.C. may be considered based on special business needs.

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of blithequark, providing top-notch support to our customers and making a tangible difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring your passion and product knowledge to recommend upgrades to customers' health plans, ensuring they receive the best possible coverage.
  • Conduct research and outbound calls to provide answers to customers' general healthcare benefit and eligibility questions, enrollment status requests, and other concerns.
  • Assist members with navigating their online health accounts, locating doctor and facility information, and resolving any issues they may encounter.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries with compassion, empathy, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Maintain accurate records and update customer information as needed, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Essential Qualifications

  • 6 months or more of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or related industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with technology, including high-speed internet (> 15 mbps) and a reliable computer.
  • Integrity to follow HIPAA guidelines on maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • A USB wired headset (or a compatible alternative) and a smartphone or device that runs IOS or Android for daily log-in.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare customer service role or a related field.
  • Knowledge of healthcare benefits, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with customers and provide personalized support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
