The Role: Healthcare Customer Service Representative

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences. You will work with patients, members, and customers to provide answers, resolve issues, and offer guidance on healthcare benefits, eligibility, and enrollment. Your passion for helping others, strong product knowledge, and excellent communication skills will enable you to make a positive impact on patients' lives and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, members, and customers via phone, email, and chat
  • Conduct research and make outbound calls to provide answers to general healthcare benefit and eligibility questions
  • Assist members with logging into and understanding the functionality of their online health account
  • Locate doctor and facility information for members
  • Recommend upgrades to health plans based on product and brand knowledge
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

What You Bring to the Role:

Essential Qualifications:

  • 6 months or more of customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience and high-speed internet (> 15 mbps)
  • USB wired headset or compatible device
  • Smartphone or device that runs iOS or Android (e.g., iPad)
  • Integrity to follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare or a related field
  • Knowledge of healthcare benefits, eligibility, and enrollment processes
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
