Job Summary

As an Enterprise Customer Engineer – Data Analytics and Technology Solutions at blithequark, you will partner with technical sales teams as a data analytics subject matter expert to differentiate blithequark Cloud solutions for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working with teams across North America to identify and qualify business opportunities related to data analytics and cloud solutions
  • Sharing data analytics expertise to support technical relationships with customers, including advocacy, bid responses, product briefings, and proof-of-concept work
  • Identifying business and technical requirements, conducting full technical discovery, and architecting client solutions to meet gathered requirements
  • Preparing and delivering sales messaging to highlight the blithequark Cloud value proposition, using techniques such as whiteboards, presentations, product demonstrations, and RFI responses
  • Interlocking with Product Management and influencing the product roadmap through thought leadership, providing customer feedback, and triaging blockers to workload migrations

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise and Customer Engagement

  • Engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on blithequark Cloud
  • Develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve customer business challenges
  • Troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks related to database migrations, data back ends, and all aspects of the data life-cycle
  • Collaborate with technical sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities related to data analytics and cloud solutions

Solution Development and Architecture

  • Conduct full technical discovery to identify business and technical requirements
  • Architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements, leveraging blithequark Cloud technologies and data analytics expertise
  • Develop and deliver sales messaging to highlight the blithequark Cloud value proposition

Product Management and Roadmap Influence

  • Interlock with Product Management to influence the product roadmap through thought leadership, customer feedback, and triaging blockers to workload migrations
  • Provide customer feedback and insights to inform product development and roadmap prioritization

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Experience with Big Data technologies or concepts, such as analytics warehousing, data processing, data transformation, data governance, data migrations, ETL, ELT, SQL, NoSQL, performance or scalability optimizations, or batch versus streaming

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales or consulting in cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data
  • Experience with architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design, and query optimization of scalable and distributed systems
  • Experience with aspects of cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data), as well as the cloud market, engaged dynamics, and customer buying behavior
  • Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch/real-time event processing, streaming, data processing (ETL/ELT), data migrations, data visualization tools, and data governance on cloud-native architectures
  • Understanding of customer requirements, with the ability to break down requirements and design technical architectures

Compensation and Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
