Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative Team Lead at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading a team of customer service representatives in answering incoming calls from individuals with questions regarding Salt Lake County Behavioral Health Providers, services available in Salt Lake County, and Medicaid benefit plans. This role involves researching and providing referrals to providers/agencies in Salt Lake County to Medicaid-eligible consumers, verifying Medicaid eligibility using a computer database, and completing administrative tasks to support the Care Coordination team.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking inbound calls and providing exceptional customer service to individuals with questions regarding Salt Lake County Behavioral Health Providers and Medicaid benefit plans.
- Researching and providing referrals to providers/agencies in Salt Lake County to Medicaid-eligible consumers.
- Utilizing a computer database to verify Medicaid eligibility and offer additional information such as phone numbers or addresses to individuals who have contacted the wrong organization.
- Completing administrative tasks as assigned to support the Care Coordination team.
- Leading a team of customer service representatives and providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 2+ years of customer service experience working in the insurance, medical, behavioral health setting, or financial technology.
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications.
- Ability to work any of the 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours, which may include occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity working with Financial Health Technology.
- Experience in a leadership role or supervisory position.
- Knowledge of Medicaid benefit plans and services available in Salt Lake County.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure.
- Dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- High-speed internet connection or existing high-speed internet service.
Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong organizational skills, the ability to understand multiple services and benefit plans for Medicaid, and the ability to multi-task. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as you will be interacting with customers, providers, and internal stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range for this role is $19.47 - $38.08 per hour, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. blithequark offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements).
