In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven retention initiatives to support blithequark's goals around device health, subscription retention, and user engagement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science, to understand product usage, customer behaviors, and pain points impacting retention. Your expertise will be essential in identifying opportunities and proposing communications that improve the blithequark customer experience.
**A Day in the Life**
As a Product Manager – Retention, Customer Experience & Engagement at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our customers and drive retention. Your day may start by reviewing customer feedback and product usage data to identify friction points, then collaborating with the product team to develop an email campaign to reengage lapsed users. In the afternoon, you might present retention metrics and campaign results to leadership, while also planning for an upcoming product launch that requires a comprehensive retention strategy across multiple touchpoints. The variety of projects and ability to directly influence customer loyalty is what makes this role so exciting.
**About the Team**
The Customer Experience & Engagement team at blithequark is a dynamic group of marketing, product, creative, and analytical experts united by a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Whether recommending new smart home solutions or ensuring current devices remain online and performing well, the CxE team is constantly finding ways to engage and retain blithequark's growing customer base.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage audience-specific messaging and communication strategies across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS to drive device, subscription, and user retention.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science teams to understand product usage, customer behaviors, and pain points impacting retention.
* Leverage data and customer insights to identify opportunities and act as the voice of the customer to propose communications that improve the blithequark customer experience.
* Test, track, and measure the impact of retention initiatives on key metrics like device health, subscription renewals, and user engagement.
* Communicate campaign performance and recommendations to leadership to inform future retention strategies.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer retention to continuously improve blithequark's approach.
**Basic Qualifications**
* 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
* Experience with end-to-end product delivery
* Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
* Experience as a product manager or owner
* Experience owning technology products
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights
* Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

* Competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market
