[Remote] College Consultant (Must Be PST or MST)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Mom Project is a company that provides college consulting and mentorship for career- and college-bound students. They are seeking Part-Time College Counselors to provide small group and 1:1 instruction virtually to students across the country, focusing on supporting students through the college application process.
Responsibilities
• Contributes to student learning, growth, and advancement
• Demonstrates academic competence and the ability to work within a cyclical curriculum
• Maintains a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
• Facilitates problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills
• Serves as a role model for students
• Collaborates effectively with parents and the organization to increase student performance
• Invests in the learner’s well-being—physically, socially, and emotionally
• Recognizes the relationship between social-emotional learning and academic performance
• Designs and facilitates differentiated and personalized learning goals and activities that follow a coherent sequence and engage students in high level cognitive activity
• Has extensive experience with neurodiverse students, specifically ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Must have experience with the competitive admissions process from beginning to end (7th–12th grade)
• Strong understanding of course planning, career pathways, and major exploration
Skills
• Candidates must sit in PST or MST to be considered.
• Candidates should be available weekdays from 12-6pm MST and open to one weekend per month during busy season.

Education Requirements
• Available weekdays from 12:00–6:00 p.m. MST and open to one weekend per month during busy seasons.
• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-matter field preferred.
