Job Summary
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences. You'll work in a remote environment, providing support to patients and members through various channels, including phone, email, and chat. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing answers to patients' and members' questions regarding general healthcare benefits and eligibility
- Conducting research and making outbound calls to resolve issues and provide support
- Assisting patients and members with logging into and understanding the functionality of their online health accounts
- Locating doctor and facility information for patients and members
- Recommending upgrades to health plans based on patients' and members' needs
Key Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer experiences through various channels, including phone, email, and chat
- Providing compassionate support and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Utilizing product and brand knowledge to recommend upgrades to health plans
- Conducting research and making outbound calls to resolve issues and provide support
- Assisting patients and members with logging into and understanding the functionality of their online health accounts
- Locating doctor and facility information for patients and members
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 6 months or more of customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer experience and high-speed internet (> 15 mbps)
- USB wired headset or compatible device
- Smartphone or another device that runs iOS or Android (iPad, etc.) for daily log-in
- Integrity to follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates with:
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of healthcare benefits and eligibility
- Experience with online health accounts and patient portals
