As a Data Entry Operator, you will play a critical role in processing claims and updating eligibility records in our system. You will work closely with our team to ensure accurate and efficient data entry, while maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to detail. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** * Enters claims and/or eligibility records into the system to process claims and update/correct file information through telephone and/or written contact, using proper grammar, punctuation, etiquette, etc. * Retrieves and reconciles information in files when claims are rejected by the system * Determines whether inaccurate data should be updated, routed or adjudicated * Corrects and updates claim information entered through the optical scanning or data entry process * Maintains related departmental records and files * Operates office equipment which may include a personal computer, copier, fax machine, etc. **Minimum Requirements** * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent * One year of work experience in an office environment * Ability to enter a minimum of 7,000 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (6,650 correct keystrokes per hour) * Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a position which meets this requirement) **Essential Qualifications** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in a healthcare or insurance environment * Knowledge of dental benefits and claims processing * Certification in data entry or a related field * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
