They are seeking a Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead incident response efforts, train staff on best practices, and develop long-term cybersecurity strategies while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities • Lead and participate in incident response efforts to contain and recover from security breaches. • Train other staff on cybersecurity best practices and mentor junior technical teams. • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulations. • Work closely with IT, engineering, and management teams to integrate security into system design and operations. • Extensive understanding of security principles, frameworks, and tools. • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. • Clearly communicate security information to technical and non-technical audiences. • Develop and drive long-term cybersecurity strategies and initiatives. • Stay current with rapidly evolving cyber threats and new security technologies. • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, system architectures, and secure operating systems. • Expertise in a specific area, such as cryptography, cloud security, or offensive/defensive cyber operations. • Proficiency with various security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability scanners. • Provide strategic leadership to enhance an organization's security posture. • Analyze threats, conduct thorough risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities. • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, secure operating systems, and robust network security architectures. • Provide in-depth knowledge of areas like network security, cryptography, secure operating systems, and incident forensics. • Analyze threat intelligence to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop countermeasures.
