About the Role
As a Part-Time Customer Service Agent with blithequark, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers have a seamless travel experience. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash and credit transactions, and resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous assistance to internal and external customers, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring a great customer experience.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the success of blithequark's operations.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Operate a computerized retail location system, manage baggage, and handle reservations and related issues.
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and balance daily transactions.
- Check in baggage and freight, answer phone calls, and provide information to customers.
- Manage customer issues related to oversales, delayed or canceled flights, lost or damaged baggage, and other travel disruptions.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, fares, and other travel-related information.
- Complete forms and reports as required by blithequark, and write anomaly and complaint reports as needed.
- Perform other work-related tasks as directed by management.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Customer Service Agent with blithequark, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- The ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Awareness of hazardous situations and the ability to handle emergencies as they arise.
- The ability to work under tight time constraints and achieve fast turns of aircraft.
- A well-groomed appearance, adhering to blithequark's Ground Operations Worker Handbook and Work Arrangement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey information and instructions clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- Previous customer service experience, particularly in the airline or travel industry.
- Familiarity with computerized reservation systems and other airline software.
- Ability to speak multiple languages.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
