About the Role

As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, resolving support issues, selling new products and services, and ensuring best-in-class customer experiences. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with hundreds of customers each week, and be expected to be confident, fully engaged, and dedicated to bringing a positive and enthusiastic outlook to work each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Listen to customers, understand their needs, and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilize systems and technology to complete account management tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Recognize sales opportunities and apply sales skills to upgrade customers to new products and services
  • Explain and position products and processes with customers, providing clear and concise information
  • Appropriately escalate customer dissatisfaction to the managerial team, ensuring prompt resolution
  • Ensure first-call resolution through problem-solving and effective call handling, meeting or exceeding performance metrics

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words per minute)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating system
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
  • An aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation
  • A customer service-oriented mindset (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
  • The ability to multitask, stay focused, and self-manage in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team orientation and customer focus

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous customer service experience in a contact center environment
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
