Job Summary

We are looking for a full-time Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing information and assistance to Maryland residents seeking health insurance coverage. You will work in a remote call center environment, receiving a high volume of calls and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced customer service professional to join our team and make a real difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options to Maryland residents.
  • Update customer and account information as needed, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
  • Utilize multiple database applications as resources to provide the best solution to customers seeking assistance.
  • Be open to feedback for continuous improvement and growth, and strive to meet performance metrics for continued professional growth opportunities.
  • Respond to general customer inquiries, and provide solutions to customer problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college attendance/degree preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Minimum 1 year of call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience, with knowledge of health insurance policy and terminology.
  • Computer proficiency, with experience using multiple computer applications and database systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact well with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and available for occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests.

What We Offer

At Blithequark, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $16.63 per hour.
  • Dental, health, and vision insurance.
  • Opportunity to work from home and enjoy a flexible work environment.
  • Full-time 40-hour workweek, with Monday-Friday hours from 8am to 6pm.
  • 3 weeks of training and 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting) to ensure your success in the role.
  • Referral bonus: refer a friend and receive $50 after they work 90 days.
