Job Summary
We are looking for a Part Time Senior Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to seniors in San Jose, California. As a caregiver, you will be responsible for providing companionship, transportation, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, among other tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and social interaction to seniors, including talking, playing games, and watching TV
- Assist with transportation, including driving clients to appointments and errands
- Prepare meals and snacks, and assist with grocery shopping
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and cleaning
- Provide hands-on care, including mobility support, bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other caregivers to ensure seamless care
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid phone number and be able to pass a general background check
- Have a legitimate Social Security Number
- Be courteous, authentic, and hardworking, with a passion for working with seniors
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Previous experience working with seniors, either in a professional or personal capacity
- Certification in first aid and CPR
- Ability to speak multiple languages
