Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Direct and supervise assigned sales account managers to ensure achievement of unit and revenue objectives, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to help them succeed.
  • Sales Strategy: Formulate and implement sales plans for assigned accounts, providing tactical input to leadership and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and innovation.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing expertise and consultation to resolve complex problems and negotiate agreements.
  • Sales Performance: Manage and influence the hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews of direct reports, ensuring a high-performing team that meets sales targets.
  • Field Presence: Spend a majority of time in the field, working closely with customers, and developing a deep understanding of their needs and priorities.
  • Solution Selling: Provide input for sales strategies and training sales teams to implement plans, ensuring a customer-centric approach to solution selling.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Three to five years of successful sales management experience in the wireless, data, and/or telecommunications industry, with a proven record of accomplishment in meeting quota and solution selling/account management.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, with a technical discipline preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently and aggressively seek new business.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
    • Current auto insurance and reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven ability to sell complex solutions and manage a team of sales professionals.
  • Education: Technical discipline or related field.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to present a professional image of self and company.
    • Ability to travel.

What We Offer

As a Sales Manager with AT&T, you'll have access to a comprehensive compensation package, including:

  • Competitive Salary: $85,400 - $128,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
  • Commission Structure: Up to $64,000 in commissions per year, when sales goals are met.
