Experienced US Partnerships and Mobilization Advisor – Reproductive Rights, Health, and Justice Advocacy and Grassroots Partnerships Development

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled US Partnerships and Mobilization Advisor to lead the development and expansion of our grassroots and advocacy partnerships with reproductive rights, health, and justice organizations in Texas. The successful candidate will have a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including experience working with non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and policymakers in Texas and throughout the region. The US Partnerships and Mobilization Advisor will identify and support the effective use of Ipas tools and resources, based on the needs and priorities expressed by our US grassroots and advocacy partners. This may include values clarification resources and materials, opposition monitoring strategies and best practices, and adult blended learning methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and expansion of Ipas's grassroots and advocacy partnerships with reproductive rights, health, and justice organizations in Texas
- Identify and support the effective use of Ipas tools and resources, based on the needs and priorities expressed by our US grassroots and advocacy partners
- Provide support and fundraising to sustain and deepen Ipas's US programming and partnerships
- Work closely with the Ipas US program team to oversee cultivation and expansion of key partnerships, mobilization, and capacity building work in Texas
- Identify and expand Ipas's partnerships and collaboration with advocacy and grassroots organizations across the state of Texas working to support reproductive rights, health, and justice
- Co-lead the development and implementation of state-level partnership and mobilization strategies
- Lead the organization of strategic planning convenings, Ipas trainings, learning tours, and other stakeholder meetings in collaboration with partners
- Support and coordinate training and technical assistance offerings to partners working on a range of social and gender justice issues
- Collaborate with global teams to gather experiences, lessons learned, and other technical materials or resources, disseminating these with an aim to support the reproductive justice movement in Texas
- Represent Ipas at public events and conferences as needed
- Organize and host transnational shared learning training sessions for providers, grassroots groups, and other partners
- Conduct and keep up to date a comprehensive mapping of key partners in the state
- Identify opportunities to create public resources or host external webinars that advance education and shape narratives around abortion access
- Report regularly and effectively to the Partnerships and Mobilization Manager, US Node
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field, such as reproductive rights, health, and justice advocacy
- Experience and knowledge of abortion rights, reproductive justice, and/or health policy issues
- Experience working or volunteering in a non-profit organization
- Track record of forming and maintaining trusted relationships with non-profit organizations and advocacy groups, as well as policymakers in Texas and throughout the region
- Strong understanding of movement dynamics, challenges, and opportunities within the US reproductive health, rights, and justice spaces, especially at the US/MX border
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in strategy
- Strong alignment with the Ipas mission
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to travel up to 30%
