Experienced Vacation Planner - Service Professional for Remote Travel Industry Role

About the Role
The Travel Service team is a dynamic group of 30-40 professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our guests. As a Vacation Planner, Service, you will play a vital role in finalizing reservation details, ensuring that our direct guests have a fantastic travel experience and become loyal champions of our travel brands. This is a remote position, offering the freedom and flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with a competitive hourly salary of $18.00 plus a monthly incentive of $200-$300 for full-time and $100-$150 for part-time employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing existing guest accounts, from initial contact to travel, and product up-sells
- Handling approximately 35 service calls per day and emails using our customer service and sales protocols
- Maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring customers receive accurate, timely, and quality information about our products and resolving customer concerns
- Full account management of Make-A-Wish bookings, including special needs requests and specific accounting processes
- Working with Siebel calendar of activities required for every Direct booking, including traveler communications, final booking review and payment, confirm docs sent, and welcome home communication
- Handling other account management services, such as work process messages, schedule change notifications, third-party authorizations, and follow-up international ticket numbers, passport information, visa status, and TSA
- Cultivating and maintaining ongoing relationships with customers and influencing product loyalty
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of three months or more experience in a sales and service capacity within a call center environment
- Demonstrated ability to write effective email communication
- Building client/customer relationships
- Technical and functional skills using multiple computer applications
- Experience working with a CRM, such as Salesforce or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrating the importance of service in retaining customer loyalty
- Working with points of interest/geography
- Product knowledge of GVI products, services, policies, and features
- Travel industry experience preferred
