About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Customer Service Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary customer interface for inquiries, handling incoming phone calls and providing exceptional support to our members. You will inform and educate members, serve as a member advocate, and build trust in our abilities. By utilizing established best practices, attending ongoing training, and leveraging resources and tools, you will serve as an expert in helping navigate the complex world of insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail to provide exceptional support and resolve customer issues
- Research customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues
- Elevate sensitive customer requests when necessary to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates, staying current on policies and procedures required to support the customer and ensure compliance
- Remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting, preferably in the health insurance or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. You must also be available for training, which can last up to 12 weeks.

- Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation skills are a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
