Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data entry processes. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
  • Transmitting information or documents using a computer
  • Reading and visually verifying information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
  • Entering and retrieving information contained in computer databases using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball to update records, files, reservations, and answer inquiries from guests
  • Verifying information in documents or on computer screens, including text, printed forms, and lists for accuracy and completeness
  • Operating standard office equipment other than computers such as telephone, typewriter, fax, photocopier, calculator, and electronic peripherals
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees
  • Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards; and identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent administrative and data entry skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, software, and technology, including point of sale systems and computer databases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak clearly and professionally with others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a data entry or administrative role, preferably in a hospitality or customer-facing environment
  • Knowledge of Marriott International's systems and procedures, or similar hotel or hospitality systems
