The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in gift processing and CRM management, with a strong understanding of non-profit fundraising operations. This hybrid position allows for a combination of in-office and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring essential tasks are completed efficiently. **Key Responsibilities** As a Database Specialist, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: * **Accurate Data Entry and Management**: Accurately enter and manage gifts in the donor database, including various donation types and payments. * **Gift Processing and Coding**: Set up new gift batches and process donations within 24-48 hours, ensuring proper coding and compliance with non-profit regulations. * **Tribute Accounts and Matching Gifts**: Create tribute accounts and manage matching gift donations, ensuring timely and accurate processing. * **Tax Receipts and Donor Communications**: Generate tax receipts for all donors promptly and respond to donor inquiries via phone and email. * **Constituent Record Management**: Maintain and update constituent records based on new information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date donor information. * **Mailing Lists and CRM Automation**: Create mailing lists for appeals, events, and newsletters, and manage CRM automation to streamline fundraising efforts. * **Data Integrity and Quality Control**: Conduct regular CRM maintenance to ensure data integrity and accuracy, and perform additional data entry and projects as needed. * **Reporting and Analytics**: Run queries and reports to support various departments, providing valuable insights to inform fundraising strategies. * **Event and Fundraising Support**: Organize donor lists for events and manage CRM automation to support fundraising efforts. **Requirements** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * **2+ years of experience in gift processing and CRM management**: Proven track record in managing donor databases and processing gifts in a non-profit setting. * **Previous experience in a Non-Profit**: Strong understanding of non-profit fundraising operations, including gift processing, donor relations, and event management. * **Strong data entry skills with attention to detail**: Accurate and efficient data entry skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity. * **Excellent problem-solving abilities and clerical accuracy**: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, and maintain high levels of clerical accuracy. * **Professional demeanor with strong communication skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with donors, colleagues, and stakeholders. * **Team-oriented with the ability to work independently**: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also working independently to manage tasks and projects. * **Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)**: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. * **Enthusiastic about technology and continuous learning**: Strong enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to continuous learning, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in fundraising and CRM management. **Nice-to-Haves** While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role: * **Experience with CRM software**: Familiarity with CRM software, such as Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or Blackbaud. * **Knowledge of non-profit regulations**: Strong understanding of non-profit regulations, including tax laws and fundraising compliance. * **Event planning experience**: Experience in planning and executing events, including fundraising events and donor recognition events. **Benefits** As a Database Specialist, you will enjoy the following benefits: * **Work from home flexibility**: 100% remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from anywhere and maintain a healthy work-life balance. * **Hybrid work schedule**: Combination of in-office and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring essential tasks are completed efficiently. * **Competitive salary**: Benchmark salary for the role, with opportunities for growth and professional development. * **Opportunities for growth and professional development**: Opportunities to learn and grow with our organization, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. **Simple Application Process** Ready to join our team and make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities worldwide?
