The Role

We're seeking an experienced Health and Activity Contracts Manager to join our Lifestyles Leisure Services team, which is undergoing a dynamic transformation. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our Sports & Recreation services and drive innovation and growth in an environment that values leadership and new ideas. As the Health & Activity Contracts Coordinator, you will oversee the coordination and support of health contracts and initiatives across Liverpool, leading the development and delivery of community-based programmes focused on key health themes such as healthy weight, mental health, and social isolation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the coordination and support of health contracts and initiatives across Liverpool
  • Lead the development and delivery of community-based programmes focused on key health themes such as healthy weight, mental health, and social isolation
  • Collaborate with partner organizations and the voluntary sector to implement community-led solutions
  • Monitor performance to identify opportunities and risks and keep up to date with health-related policies and trends
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to joint strategic needs assessments
  • Manage budgets to ensure financial performance and represent lifestyles at key health and wellbeing partnership meetings

Essential Qualifications and Skills

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with:

  • Significant experience in health and wellbeing, contract management, and community development
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and partners
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and ensure financial performance
  • Knowledge of health-related policies and trends, with the ability to keep up to date with the latest developments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of working in a public sector or charity environment
  • Knowledge of health and wellbeing initiatives and programmes
  • Experience of managing budgets and financial resources
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders
  • Experience of using project management tools and software
