Senior QA Test Automation Engineer (REMOTE)

Position Title: Senior QA Test Automation Engineer Location: Remote Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen Position Status: Contract to Hire Position Description: We're seeking a?Senior Quality Engineering Consultant?to lead quality assurance and testing efforts for cloud-based enterprise applications. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in?software development life cycle (SDLC),?agile testing methodologies, and?cloud testing strategies. You'll work closely with development and delivery teams to ensure applications meet business, performance, and security requirements. As a quality coach and technical leader, you'll design test plans, drive automation, and implement defect prevention techniques that elevate software reliability and user experience. This is a high-impact role supporting mission-critical systems in a dynamic, agile environment. Key Responsibilities: • Define and implement quality standards, testing tools, and metrics across the full SDLC • Serve as a liaison between Quality Engineering and Agile Delivery teams to ensure user-centric design validation • Lead cloud testing strategy and execution, including performance, security, and contingency testing • Collaborate with developers to review unit and integration test results for coverage analysis • Design and develop test plans, test cases, and feature-based test data for complex systems • Build sprint-based regression testing strategies and automation suites • Identify testing dependencies and align with product owners for comprehensive coverage • Implement defect prevention techniques and tracking processes to maintain high software quality • Capture and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement • Plan and coordinate all phases of testing: unit, integration, system, regression, load, performance, security, and UAT Required Skills/Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering and SDLC practices • Strong programming skills in?Python,?Java, or similar languages • Proven experience in?agile testing,?automation, and?cloud testing • Familiarity with?DevOps,?CI/CD pipelines, and?cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) • Experience with data analysis, verification, and quality metrics reporting • SAFE Agile certification or Cloud/DevOps certification is a plus • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Must be a United States citizen About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
