As a Data Entry Support worker at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and organization of our data, supporting our Adult Education office, and contributing to the achievement of our organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for a range of clerical and data entry tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and data organization, leveraging your attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Entering required grant data accurately into our systems to meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines, demonstrating your ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Maintaining appropriate records and following required procedures and practices for attendance and assessment data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintaining the required security of student data in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), highlighting your commitment to data privacy and security.
  • Completing regular error checks and data clean-up to ensure accurate reporting, reflecting your proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring data is accessible in a timely manner to staff and other stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and collaboration across the organization.
  • Organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet all local, state, and program deadlines, showcasing your ability to plan, organize, and manage your workload effectively.
  • Monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, including pre/post testing with state-mandated assessments, contributing to the assessment of program effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities, demonstrating your commitment to ongoing learning and growth.
  • Scanning documents, labeling items, inventorying supplies, performing basic word processing, organizing digital files and materials, preparing mailings, and assisting with filing, as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A High School diploma or GED, providing a foundation in basic skills and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including proficiency in MS Office Software, particularly Excel, which is essential for data management and analysis.
  • The ability to perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy, plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively, communicate effectively, work cooperatively with others, and work under pressure with frequent interruptions.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The physical requirements for this position include:

  • Regularly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, requiring effective communication skills.
  • Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time, with the ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
