Position Overview
As a Remote Educational Assistant specializing in Special Education inclusion, you will provide direct support to classroom teachers, facilitate individualized instruction, and ensure compliance with New Mexico’s Special Education regulations. You will also serve as a cultural liaison, translating educational content and communication for Spanish‑speaking families, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Student Support & Instruction
- Assist classroom teachers in modifying and adapting curriculum to meet each student’s IEP goals.

- Monitor student progress, collect data, and report findings to the lead teacher and special education coordinator.

- Collaboration & Communication

Essential Qualifications (Must‑Have)
We are looking for candidates who meet the following baseline criteria:
- Associate’s degree or higher, OR completion of at least 48 credit hours from an accredited college/university.
- Successfully passed the ParaPro assessment, or eligibility to obtain an Educational Assistant licensure issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
- Demonstrated experience working as an educational assistant, preferably within a special‑education or inclusive setting.
- Ability to obtain a background check, including an FBI fingerprint clearance, at the candidate’s expense.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice‑to‑Have)
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills in both languages.
