As a leader in the airline industry, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences while fostering a culture of respect, caring, and inclusivity. **Job Summary** As a Technology Supply Chain Management (SCM) Category Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Technology Infrastructure & Services Group, which includes Network and Infrastructure Engineering, Field Services, and Quality Management Office (QMO). You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of technology suppliers, negotiating master agreements and statements of work, and educating stakeholders on SCM processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization. **Responsibilities** As a Technology Supply Chain Management (SCM) Category Manager, your key responsibilities will include: * Advising technology and stakeholders on common risk elements of a supplier agreement and/or program or project * Assisting leaders with decision-making processes by encouraging competitive evaluation of new suppliers through the RFP process * Creating and implementing negotiation strategies * Managing supplier communications and coordinating contract negotiation and strategic sourcing events * Collaborating with internal customers to gain a solid understanding of business requirements * Educating stakeholders and setting expectations to achieve improved business outcomes and align around key positions on issues such as IP, data security, LOL, and SLA development * Managing on-going demand planning with technology and/or business stakeholders for assigned agreements and renewals * Supporting multiple technical categories across multiple programs and areas of the business * Identifying potential procurement opportunities through data analysis, category and industry knowledge, current and emerging business models, and discussions with stakeholders * Communicating performance and concerns with suppliers that may result in redefining the relationship **Requirements** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field * A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field * Proven experience in managing complex contracts and negotiations * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field * Certification in supply chain management, such as CSCP or CPSM * Experience working in the airline industry or a related field * Strong knowledge of technology and data center operations * Experience with contract negotiation and strategic sourcing events **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills * Ability to think critically and strategically * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Southwest Airlines, we're committed to providing our employees with opportunities for learning and growth.
