We're seeking an experienced Patient Accounts Resolution Representative to join our team in a remote work arrangement. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in resolving patient account discrepancies, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate billing and payment processing. As an Experienced Patient Accounts Resolution Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:- Interacting with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and resolving billing discrepancies
- Educating customers on the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications
- Resolving concerns related to patient balances on their accounts
- Handling inbound calls and routing accounts for review and resolution
- Providing accurate information and facilitating resolution to customer and third-party inquiries while representing the organization
- Reviewing and analyzing account activity and payers' explanations of benefits to verify payments and adjustments have been received and applied accurately
- Processing patient mail and performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of call center experience in a healthcare billing or medical insurance setting
- 1+ years of working with EOB (explanation of benefits) experience
- Knowledge of CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and/or medical claims processing
- Proficiency with Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work our normal business hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm CST
- Ability to travel to 2925 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407 to pick up equipment on day one
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of medical insurance experience
- Previous experience in healthcare billing
- Epic or other EMR experience
- Previous experience working with various insurance companies
Telecommuting Requirements
To work remotely, you'll need to meet the following requirements:- Reside within MN or WI
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
