Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer confidential data from paper and/or electronic (typed) formats into billing software (Timeslips) using a keyboard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Type in data provided directly from staff, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify data by comparison and generating reports, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Sort and organize paperwork (electronic and hard copy) following data entry, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless data entry processes and resolve any issues that may arise.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to learning.
  • Prior work experience in data entry, preferably in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office, although not required.
  • Typing proficiency, with a preferred level of at least 45 wpm accuracy and no errors, demonstrating strong keyboard skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of internal processes of medical facilities and med-legal terminology, although training will be provided to ensure your success.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • Experience working in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry-specific terminology and processes.
