Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. As a key member of our remote counseling services, you will play a vital role in providing counseling services, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and offering therapeutic support to clients remotely. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling services to clients remotely, using telehealth platforms and technology
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account clients' unique circumstances and goals
  • Offer ongoing therapeutic support and guidance to clients, promoting their growth and well-being
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, as needed, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
  • Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and research in mental health, and apply this knowledge to improve client outcomes
  • Participate in regular supervision and consultation to ensure high-quality care and adherence to professional standards

Essential Qualifications

  • A valid license as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of New York
  • Demonstrated experience in counseling, therapy, and mental health treatment, preferably in a private practice setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to provide counseling services effectively in a remote setting, using telehealth platforms and technology
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in counseling and therapy, including confidentiality and informed consent
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans, with a focus on client-centered care
  • Excellent listening skills and empathy towards clients, with a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment
  • Proficient in using telehealth platforms and technology for counseling, including video conferencing and secure messaging
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and privacy, adhering to HIPAA and other relevant regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapies, such as CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management software
  • Fluency in a second language, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse linguistic backgrounds
  • Experience in group therapy, family therapy, or couples therapy
