Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with parents and educational teams: Develop and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique learning requirements.
  • Deliver customized lessons: Utilize our digital platform to deliver tailored lessons that meet the distinct needs of each student.
  • Monitor academic and behavioral progress: Provide individualized assistance as needed, ensuring students make steady progress towards their academic goals.
  • Maintain regular communication with families: Discuss student development, additional support options, and progress towards IEP goals.
  • Work in partnership with general education teachers: Foster inclusive educational environments that promote academic excellence and social growth.
  • Stay informed of special education regulations: Actively participate in ongoing professional development to ensure compliance with special education regulations and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills: Engage with families, collaborate with school teams, and communicate effectively with students.
  • Proficient in IEP development and management: Develop and manage IEPs that cater to each student's unique learning requirements.
  • Skilled in delivering tailored lessons: Utilize online educational platforms to deliver customized lessons that meet the distinct needs of each student.
  • Ability to track and report on student progress: Effectively monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Knowledgeable about special education regulations: Stay informed of special education regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related discipline: A degree in Special Education or a related field is required, with a focus on Intervention Specialist or a related area.
  • Valid Ohio teaching certification with an Intervention Specialist Endorsement: A valid teaching certification with an Intervention Specialist Endorsement is required, with a focus on K-12 education.
  • Professional liability insurance: Professional liability insurance is required, ensuring protection against potential risks and liabilities.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in telehealth or educational settings: A minimum of 2 years of experience in telehealth or educational settings is preferred, with a focus on Intervention Specialist or a related area.
