Dental Scheduling Coordinator - Hybrid or Virtual

Were currently seeking a Scheduling Coordinator who understands how to build a strong recall system, manage the flow of the schedule, and support our mission of reducing oral diseasewhile creating a seamless and welcoming experience for every patient. This is not a passive scheduling role. Youll be responsible for driving hygiene retention, identifying opportunities for care, and ensuring the schedule reflects our commitment to clinical excellence and operational efficiency. What Youll Do Manage daily and long-term scheduling strategy for hygiene and restorative care Reappoint hygiene patients to ensure long-term oral health and continuity of care Monitor unscheduled treatment and overdue recall, proactively reaching out to re-engage patients Fill last-minute cancellations with urgency while maintaining productive days Ensure schedule supports production goals, provider preferences, and patient convenience Track key performance metrics (reappointment %, recall %, same-day fills, etc.) Maintain clear, detailed documentation of all patient contact and scheduling efforts Communicate daily with clinical and front office teams to ensure smooth transitions and clear expectations Represent the practice with professionalism in all interactionsphone, text, email, and video What Youll Offer Minimum 5 years of experience in general dentistry scheduling (required) Strong understanding of recall systems, block scheduling, and patient retention strategies Comfortable communicating across multiple platforms (calls, texts, emails, video) Detail-oriented with excellent time management, follow-up, and prioritization skills Proficient in dental software and recall/reporting systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly Confident presenting availability, following up with unscheduled patients, and collaborating with clinical providers Tech-proficient and able to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment Comfortable being on camera and in video meetings throughout the day Position Details This position is open to both remote (1099 contractor) and hybrid (W2 employee) candidates. Remote (1099) Fully virtual Flexible within business hours (EST) $25$35/hr based on experience 4% performance bonus on total office collections Paid training and mentorship Hybrid (W2) 23 days per week in our Laurel, MD office Full-time employee status with benefits Same pay and bonus structure Access to full medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and other employee benefits About Our Practice We are a privately owned, -for-service practice with 8 operatories and more than 9,500 active patients.
