Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced and charismatic Customer Service Representative I to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing personalized support via phone, mail, and other channels. Your primary goal will be to ensure that every customer interaction is friendly, professional, and informative, leaving a lasting impression and fostering loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process telephone calls, mail, and fax orders, as well as catalog requests from customers in a professional and courteous manner, following established procedures
  • Perform telephone and mail functions across all business units, upselling and promoting products to achieve daily sales targets
  • Work on special projects, including outbound calls to customers, to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction
  • Assist customers with issues, such as web questions, credits, refunds, promotions, invoices, new accounts, returns, and miscellaneous billing, providing timely and effective resolutions
  • Investigate customer inquiries and order issues, completing related documentation and maintaining accurate records
  • Provide personalized customer service, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all policies and procedures
  • Meet departmental production and quality standards, responding to fluctuating volumes of calls and hard copy orders
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance and contribute to a positive work environment

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous customer service experience preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support
  • Ability to accurately type 4,200 keystrokes per hour, with sound knowledge of telephone etiquette
  • Excellent reading, listening, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to navigate multiple computer windows efficiently
  • Friendly and tactful demeanor, with a high degree of patience and empathy in dealing with customers
