<strong>REPORTS TO</strong><strong>: </strong>Events Manager An Event/Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for taking care of the Mansion and Inn building’s general cleanliness during Events and providing tidy and sanitary conditions and amenities to Event guests of the Hotel and Restaurant venue. Their duties include monitoring the ballroom and general public areas of the venue for cleanliness, guest supplies in the rooms and public areas and generally keeping the indoor and outdoor areas of the property neat and orderly.  An Event/Housekeeping Assistant needs to clean the work area to the standards of their employer. This requires attention to detail, physical strength and the stamina to work long shifts.  Occasionally the occupant of this role may be asked to assist with laundry responsibilities.<ul> <li><span style="color: #000000">Answer immediately to request from guests, as well as from other departments.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Enter guest rooms by adhering to proper procedures and ensure they are vacant.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Replace used amenities in guest rooms.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Provide extra clean linens and terry as requested by guests.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Monitor public areas and ensure bathrooms are clean and fully stocked.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Take away dirty linen, and trash, as needed.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Adhere to all safety, security, and company procedures and policies.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Provide immediate report of any safety hazards, injuries, maintenance problem, or accidents to the supervisor.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Successfully complete training and certification programs in safety, if necessary.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Keep personal attire clean and make sure to always appear professional.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Keep proprietary information confidential.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Ensure company standards are followed in welcoming and acknowledging all guests.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Anticipate service needs of guests and provide them even before called upon to do so.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Provide assistance to guests with disabilities.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Use professional language in communicating with guests and other people.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Provide support to team to achieve common goals.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Maintain quality standards and expectations.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000">Genuinely appreciate and thank guests for their visit.</span></li> </ul> This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position.  It is not intended to give all details or a step-by-step account of the way each procedure or task is performed.  The incumbent is expected to perform other duties necessary for the effective operation of the department.
