The Host role at Hai Hospitality is an exciting position based primarily at the Uchi concepts, including Uchi, Uchiko, and Uchiba. This role serves as a vital part of the guest experience, responsible for managing reservations and walk-ins, setting clear and positive guest expectations, and providing cocktail service for waiting guests. Hosts play an integral role in creating memorable dining experiences by being the first and last point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth table transitions, and maintaining effective communication with the service team. In this position, hosts will become well-versed in the restaurant’s menu with a particular focus on Japanese cuisine while also gaining knowledge of beverage selections including beer, wine, and sake through peer-led training sessions. Candidates can expect to earn an average of $22 per hour, which includes base pay plus tips.
