Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly support to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
- Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization
- Be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services by addressing their needs
- Handle all aspects of check-in and registration by operating an electronic retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
- Greet and interact with customers in a courteous and friendly manner
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
- Process transactions, make change, and balance daily transactions, with responsibility for overage or shortage
- Physically check in baggage and cargo
- Answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed
- Handle transactions necessary to board the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage upset customers due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, and resolve such issues quickly and within guidelines established by the organization
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and be able to adapt to changing situations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience in customer service is preferred.
