Integrated Healthcare Partners (IHP) is a not-for-profit organization working in partnership with the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services as well as with local managed care organizations. IHP is comprised of participating providers including Community Health Centers and Community Mental Health Centers. IHP works in partnership with our participating providers to improve individual and population health outcomes, decreasing unnecessary medical spend, and connecting individuals to high quality services and supports 30,000 covered lives.
This is primarily a remote position but the selected candidate must be located in the RI area. The position will require attending meetings at worksite locations in Rhode Island on a frequent basis.
Position Summary
The Data Analyst will be part of an administrative team where they will act as a specialist in data analysis, reporting and managing reporting applications. This role will support the organization in its efforts to build a reporting system that will enhance its report development, data system design and build needed queries while maximizing the automation of monthly and ad hoc report delivery. This reporting package will focus on highlighting decreases in total cost of care, improved individual and population health outcomes, as well as completion of HSTP and other broader initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Ability to optimize reporting systems that can provide efficient and appropriate reporting for implementation within our Accountable Entity;
• Ability to develop and validate reports using business intelligence (BI) software;
• Demonstrate Understanding of relational databases and experience creating reports and extracting data using BI tools;
• Experience working with various BI platforms, and the ability to implement new BI tools;
• Strong analytical and computation skills, with experience managing, manipulating and interpreting data, drawing conclusions and presenting results in a clear and concise manner;
• Experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries against relational databases;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide information effectively and synthesized across multiple key stakeholders
• Experience working in a healthcare setting handling patient data preferred;
• BS in Computer Science/related field or proven experience in healthcare data reporting environment.
Required Skills:
• 3-5 years' experience with Population Health Systems, preferably for an Accountable Care Organization;
• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare data reporting;
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office 365,Share point and secure FTP servers;
• Highly motivated and organized, with keen attention to detail and superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities;
• Proven service orientation skills with excellent communication skills, proven ability to articulate technical and non-technical ideas to resources of varying levels throughout our member organizations;
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, managed care organizations, and the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services;
• Ability to work cross-functionally and across multiple Rhode Island locations
• Ability to work creatively and efficiently handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Significant Job Functions:
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources;
• Parsing the data for business needs and distributing to accountable entities member organization;
• Develops new reports and enhances/maintains existing reports;
• Enhance dashboard reporting for delivery to leadership of the accountable entity
• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques;
• Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies;
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets;
• Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems;
• Works with users to share analysis results that will help to enhance processes and solutions to reporting needs;
• Participates and contributes as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects.
Physical Effort/Environment:
Position requires extensive computer use; thus, manual dexterity is required. Must be able to sit for duration of shift. This position is full time remote with limited in person meeting in Rhode Island.
