Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for Senior Category Management Leaders (Level 4 and Level 5) for Indirect Supply Chain to join our team in a VIRTUAL capacity.

Where You Come In

We are looking for a Senior Category Management leader for our Indirect Supply Chain (ISC) organization. As part of our Center of Expertise (COE), you will lead our approach to how we mature the category management subject area across our indirect category towers. While this is an individual contributor role, you will have the opportunity to take what we have today and evolve it with our category towers to drive category management excellence and improve how we support Boeing businesses.

In this role, you will partner across our categories to lead the development and deployment of our future category management framework – from the technology and industry tools we use, to how we guide / develop / train talent, to the governance and community of practice that helps inculcate common objectives.

How You Make an Impact

The framework that you develop and lead will drive procurement and sourcing strategies, enhance supplier relationships, and enable business results across all commodities supported by Indirect Supply Chain. You will help set context, goals and lead our community of practice (COP) to partner/mentor at multiple levels with a goal of delivering a simpler, faster, better source to pay (S2P) experience for our team members across the enterprise.

What You Bring to Boeing

Extensive experience in supply chain and building category management strategies

Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships both internally and in industry; strong cross functional teaming expertise

Multi-level communication skills (peers through senior executives) with an ability to lead by influence and drive decisions/outcome

A passion for building and sharing knowledge

Motivation to deliver simpler, faster and better experiences for our team and others

Ability to translate data into compelling, strategic and executable recommendations/solutions

Strong program management and technology skills and competence

Experience with SAP Ariba and other S2P technologies preferred

Industry affiliations preferred

Office Guidelines:

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate. This is a virtual position that does not require minimum days in the office. When there is a business need, you may be asked to travel and/or participate in onsite activities. Our office guidelines are subject to change at leadership discretion.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager

5+ years of experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management

5+ years of experience in program or project management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience with SAP Ariba and other S2P technologies preferred

5+ years of industry affiliation

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range (Level 4): $98,600 - $154,100

Summary pay range (Level 5): $115,600 - $180,000
