Team Environment:
The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with a small team, taking on a range of tasks. The role involves multiple aspects of project management, including coordination, communication, and administrative support.
Job Purpose:
The Assistant Project Manager (Entry Level) will support the management of environmental assessments. This role involves completing fieldwork, facilitating project schedules, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. As they gain experience, the candidate will work toward managing projects independently, from initial planning to final reporting, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
2. Organize tasks efficiently and demonstrate strong time-management skills.
3. Confidently communicate with property representatives during site visits.
4. Gradually take ownership of projects from start to finish as they gain experience.

Qualifications:
1. Four-year Bachelor's degree (preferably a B.S. in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field).
2. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and willingness to travel for site visits.
3. Ability to carry out Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, including conducting on-site inspections, reviewing historical and regulatory records, and evaluating environmental conditions to identify potential contamination risks.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe for producing detailed reports, managing environmental data, and presenting findings clearly.
5. Willingness to work in a small company environment, contributing to environmental project work and collaborating closely with team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Skills:
1. Strong analytical skills for interpreting environmental data and assessing potential contamination risks.
2. Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying project updates, findings, and recommendations to clients clearly and effectively.
3. Ability to manage tasks and deadlines effectively.
4. Attention to detail, especially when conducting site assessments and reviewing historical and regulatory records.
5. Strong technical writing skills, particularly in drafting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, to clearly communicate findings from historical research, regulatory database reviews, government agency communications, and subject property interviews.
Work Environment:
• This role involves a mix of fieldwork and office-based tasks. Approximately 55% of time will be spent on report writing, 25% on data gathering, and 20% on conducting site visits.
• Site visits will primarily take place throughout Minnesota and may involve outdoor conditions.
• Office-based tasks focus on project coordination, data analysis, and report writing.
• The role requires flexibility, as priorities may shift between different projects.
