Control-M Administrator- Remote
About the position
Responsibilities
• Analyze problems and technical issues related to ControlM and offer solutions.
• Test, modify, automate, and integrate systems as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain ControlM software and related components.
• Manage and optimize ControlM environments, including ControlM/Server, ControlM/Agent, and ControlM/EM.
• Monitor system performance and perform regular health checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ControlM and its integrations.
• Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure system security and stability.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for ControlM environments.
• Design, create, and manage job workflows, schedules, and dependencies using ControlM.
• Coordinate with application teams to define and implement job scheduling requirements.
• Monitor job execution, identify and resolve job failures, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Develop and implement job scheduling best practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation for job schedules, workflows, and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ControlM with other systems and applications.
• Provide support and guidance to users regarding ControlM functionalities and best practices.
• Conduct training sessions and create training materials for end-users as needed.
Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in ControlM Administration.
• Proven experience with ControlM administration and scheduling, including job creation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ControlM components (e.g., ControlM/Server, ControlM/Agent, ControlM/EM).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation and job management.
• Experience with job scheduling best practices and optimization techniques.
• Problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications related to ControlM or workload automation.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
