The Role of a Technical Content Designer at blithequark
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Content Designer to join our Customer Service Content Strategy team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for improving the support experience for both our members and customer service agents. Your primary objective will be to ensure that customers and agents have access to the information they need, when they need it, to enjoy blithequark's services and features seamlessly. To achieve this, you will work closely with program managers, visual designers, and cross-functional partners in product, engineering, and research to edit and manage content for the blithequark Help Center and internal customer service knowledge base for our global CS teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex editorial projects from start to finish, including setting content strategy, goals, timelines, and reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
- Create and edit Customer Service content, such as Help Center and internal knowledge base articles, customer service emails, and other support materials, to provide clear, concise, and easily accessible information to our members and agents.
- Ensure consistent content style, tone, and format across all platforms, meeting the evolving expectations of a global audience and adhering to blithequark's brand voice and guidelines.
- Partner closely with support operations, localization, legal, product design, and engineering teams to ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to the needs of our members and agents.
- Create, maintain, and update style guides and editorial training to support the development of high-quality content across the organization.
- Leverage multiple data sources to provide data-driven analysis and content recommendations, continuously improving the support experience and content strategy.
Qualifications and Desired Qualities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BS/BA degree in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, or Technical Writing.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in technical writing, content design, or a related field, with a strong technical background and experience in helping customers navigate technical issues.
- Exceptional writing, editing, project management, and communications skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content for a variety of audiences.
- Extensive technical or UI writing experience, with a focus on writing for customer service organizations or highly technical environments for a consumer audience.
- Experience writing for different platforms, such as computer, mobile, or TV, and familiarity with information architecture and content management systems.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
At blithequark, we offer a competitive compensation package, with a range of $50,000 - $190,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, with the option to choose how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.
