**Key Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Specialist – Prior Authorization, you will be responsible for:
* Entering data from scanned and/or processed images into our data capture system
* Meeting expected hourly production volume goals
* Maintaining quality levels above minimums set by management
* Increasing speed and difficulty of tasks as expected with training and practice
* Maintaining awareness of and actively participating in the Corporate Compliance Program
* Maintaining a neat and orderly workstation
* Assisting with other projects as assigned by management
* Being prompt and dependable (excellent attendance)
* Being comfortable working in a production environment
* Possessing excellent organization skills
* Reliability of task completion and follow-up
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A High School diploma or equivalent
* Health claims processing experience, including use of claims processing software and related tools
* Highly-motivated and success-driven
* Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and active-listening skills
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
* Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic fast-paced environment with fluctuating workloads
* Basic mathematical skills
* Intermediate typing skills
* Basic computer skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICS-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding, and HIPAA regulations (preferred)
* Knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and best practices (preferred)
