Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be the face of blithequark, interacting with both internal and external customers via phone, fax, and email to provide timely and accurate information, resolve issues, and handle requests with professionalism and courtesy. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service, fostering loyalty, and contributing to the growth and success of blithequark.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule pick-ups, trace shipments, provide shipment ETAs, rate quotes, and freight charges, ensuring that all customer requests are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Internal and External Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments, partners, delivery agents, brokers, and container stations to schedule shipments and resolve customer issues, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Delivery and Re-consignment Management: Schedule delivery appointments and handle re-consignments, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and that any changes are communicated promptly to relevant parties.
- Financial and Administrative Tasks: Ensure the accurate billing of shipments, compile and deliver custom reports, and perform daily audits of reports to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Customer Interaction and Support: Document all customer interactions for follow-up and record-keeping purposes, assist customers with website registration and utilization, and provide support and solutions to customer inquiries and issues.
- Performance and Quality Standards: Meet the standards for all Key Performance Indicators (Call Quality, Process Knowledge Assessment, Adherence to Schedule, “Make Busy” %, Contacts per Hour), continuously striving for excellence in customer service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that align with blithequark's values and mission. The essential qualifications include:
- Experience in a Fast-Paced Environment: A proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, with strong attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), basic typing skills, and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Teamwork and Flexibility: A willingness to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule that can accommodate the needs of the business, including early mornings, evenings, and non-traditional holidays.
While not required, the following skills and experiences are preferred:
- Prior Customer Service Experience: Minimum 1 year of prior customer service experience, preferably in a transportation, logistics, or related field.
