We’re seeking a Remote Child & Family Therapist certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to support families across Illinois. You’ll work virtually with children and caregivers navigating behavioral challenges, autism spectrum profiles, and emotional regulation needs—delivering care that’s strengths-based, neurodevelopmentally informed, and deeply relational.
With 20 providers across the state, including 19 mental health counselors, LifeThrive fosters a supportive, mission-driven environment where passion meets purpose. Our virtual team is collaborative, playful, and outcome-focused—making space for both clinical rigor and creative connection.
Position Overview – Remote PCIT Therapist
We’re looking for a compassionate, highly skilled therapist to deliver virtual PCIT sessions and behavioral support to families. Your expertise will guide parents through structured coaching, empower children with emotional tools, and help families thrive together.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver virtual PCIT sessions with fidelity and warmth
• Conduct strengths-based assessments to identify family needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each child’s goals and strengths
• Support parents with behavioral management strategies and emotional coaching
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (speech, neurofeedback, autism screening)
• Maintain timely, clear documentation of sessions and progress
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Active Illinois license (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
• Certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
• Experience working with autism, ADHD, and behavioral challenges
• Bonus: Training in Parent Management Training (PMT) or similar behavioral frameworks
• Strong communication skills and comfort with virtual platforms

2. Hourly Pay with Bonus Incentives

• $45 per hour base pay

• Earn $2.50 extra per hour when reaching 32 billable hours per week, increasing pay to $47.50 per hour
• Earn $5 extra per hour when reaching 36 billable hours per week, increasing pay to $50 per hour
• Master’s-Level Counselors Seeking Licensure:
• $30 per hour base pay
• Bonus incentives:
• $2.50 extra per hour at 32 billable hours per week, increasing pay to $32.50 per hour

Patient Care RequirementCounselors are expected to dedicate 80% of their work time to direct patient care, within 60 days of their start date, ensuring a focused and impactful clinical practice. Work-Life Balance & Stability
• Full-time counselors work a set schedule, either four or five days per week, determined at the time of hiring—no unpredictable hours or last-minute changes!
