Job Summary
As a Retail Customer Service Team Member at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining a well-merchandised store environment. Your primary responsibilities will include providing friendly and efficient customer service, assisting with merchandise recovery and maintenance, and supporting omni-channel processes. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and providing solutions to meet their needs
- Assist customers with locating products, processing transactions, and executing cash handling to standards
- Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments as needed
- Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and gather feedback to improve our services
- Support omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), to ensure a seamless shopping experience
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes to maintain a well-merchandised store environment
- Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance tasks, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery
- Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned to ensure inventory accuracy and store presentation
- Support shrink and safety programs to minimize losses and ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements
- Interact with colleagues and customers in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting a positive and inclusive store culture
- Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production to expand your skill set and provide exceptional customer service
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of retail and/or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move throughout the store
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and early mornings
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail and/or customer service experience in a similar industry
- Knowledge of creative products and services, such as custom framing, art supplies, and crafting materials
- Experience with omni-channel retail operations and inventory management
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support colleagues as needed
