Assistant Professor, Biostatistics (Hybrid)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Applies statistical and health data science methods to research projects, with a focus on externally funded research projects.
• Provides strategic direction in research protocol development, biostatistics/statistics, database design/maintenance, and manuscript development/review process.
• Supports applications for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate.
• Responsible for the statistical analysis of research data.
• Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation.
• Participates in departmental and institutional committees and activities
• Provides technical guidance to statistical research staff.
• Provides education and training in statistical methods and applications, as needed.

Requirements
• Doctoral degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related field, required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership/ management experience, required. (relevant experience during PhD training, postdoctoral work, or equivalent research roles will be considered)
• Strong programming skills in statistical software (e.g., R, Python), required.
Nice-to-haves
• A record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
• track record of participating in external research funding (Co-I or PI), with a focus on clinical research experience, preferred.
• Strong collaboration and effective communication skills.
