As a Concierge Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support to our members and providers. Your key duties will include:
- Responding to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards
- Negotiating with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers
- Assisting members with benefits and healthcare questions
- Documenting all calls received in a system-based call log
- Building relationships with internal and external customers
- Utilizing independent judgment in decision making and problem solving
- Multi-tasking and anticipating potential needs/problems
Requirements and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Minimum HS Diploma/GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred
- One year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience preferred
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus
- Patient and able to handle difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, strong computer skills, and computer navigation
- Excellent data entry and typing skills
- Knowledge of provider organizations and networks
- Understanding of CMS Medicare reimbursement rates and ability to effectively negotiate rate structures
