About the Role

We are seeking experienced and skilled Remote Customer Service Representatives to join our team, specifically supporting the MD Medicaid program. As a Remote CSR, you will play a vital role in providing information, assistance, and support to individuals, families, and small group employees seeking guidance on healthcare options. Your expertise and passion for delivering exceptional customer service will be essential in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process MD Medicaid accounts with accuracy and efficiency, utilizing the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Provide information and assistance to customers regarding eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, as well as services and applications for Qualified Health Plans on the Exchange
  • Utilize excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, successfully executing multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality service to all Maryland consumers

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 months of recent call center experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer service environment
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse and disadvantaged populations in a courteous and effective manner
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with Medicaid or other government-funded healthcare programs
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other State systems
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak languages other than English

Technical Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following technical equipment and capabilities:

  • Desktop or laptop with Intel Core i5 Processor or higher with 8GB Memory (No Celeron or Pentium processors)
  • Minimum of 256GB hard drive
  • Windows 10 or 11 operating system
  • Minimum of 1 USB Gen 2 or newer port (wired headset)
  • 1 RJ-45 connection for a wired connection to internet router
  • Wired Headset and microphone with a USB Gen2 or newer connection
  • Video camera capability, necessary for training

Please note that the following devices are not compatible with our system: MacBooks, Chromebooks, iPads, or Tablets.

Internet Connection Requirements

  • Wired internet connection from computer to router or modem
  • Download speed of 100 MBPS minimum
  • Upload speed of 10 MBPS minimum
