About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. As a remote member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to healthcare providers, addressing their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. This is a full-time opportunity, offering a flexible schedule and the chance to work from the comfort of your own home. Our normal business hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and you will be required to have the flexibility to work any shift schedule during this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls from healthcare providers, including physician offices and clinics, and identify the type of assistance they require, such as benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, or explanations of benefits.
- Focus on resolving issues on the first call, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide an appropriate response to the caller.
- Deliver information and answer questions in a positive and empathetic manner, facilitating strong relationships with providers and their staff.
- Complete the necessary documentation to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends, ensuring that we continually improve our services and support.
- Interact with providers with the intent to develop a relationship with them, while managing a high volume of calls and developing knowledge of various products and benefits.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must live within 30 miles of Las Vegas, NV.
- Familiarity with computers and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
- Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Skilled in problem-solving, with the ability to quickly assess the current state and formulate recommendations.
- Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, from Monday to Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a related environment, such as office, administrative, clerical, customer service, or healthcare, using phones and computers as primary job tools.
- Prior healthcare experience, with a deep understanding of the industry and its complexities.
