Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our team, responsible for selling our advertising solutions to media companies and marketers. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of the media industry, exceptional sales and relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth. As a Senior Sales Executive at blithequark, you will be accountable for preserving relationships with key strategic clients, identifying new business opportunities, and maximizing revenue through the sale of commercial time and branded solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Expanding an intensive understanding of our products, strengths, positioning, content, and more to leverage for pitch effect and effectiveness
  • Developing thorough knowledge of the industries and categories being serviced, as well as specific advertising and marketing challenges being faced by each client organization
  • Building strong relationships across tiers at client and agency companies to recognize commercial trends, have direct visibility on upcoming campaigns, and identify sales potential
  • Revealing idea partnerships through comprehensive know-how of the client and corporation organization, their advertising needs, marketing campaign performance metrics, and more
  • Constructing a strategy to derive maximum revenue from assigned accounts
  • Creating, negotiating, and closing deals that maximize rate/market proportion and deliver on client and agency advertising and marketing targets and expectations
  • Mapping competition (revenue strategy/packages/clients) and using market intelligence to develop techniques to maximize market share
  • Supplying maximum fee on deals via participating with cross-functional teams across the company and taking complete ownership of deal execution, customer servicing, and post-reviews of campaigns
  • Acting as an account manager to provide dedicated account control and broaden and nurture strong long-term relationships with key clients
  • Identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to maximize revenue growth

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An MBA degree with at least 2+ years of sales experience in the media industry
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
  • Exceptional sales, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of the media industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
